What we collect, why we collect it, and how to make us stop.

What we collect
We keep collection deliberately small. There are three ways information reaches us, and you decide whether any of them apply to you.
- Things you tell us: your email when you join the newsletter, and anything you write in the contact form — name, destination, and message.
- Things your browser tells us: pages viewed, rough location at country or city level, device type, and referring site, collected through analytics cookies.
- Things our partners tell us: if you book a hotel or buy a product through one of our links, the affiliate network reports back that a booking or purchase happened — not who you are.
Saved places and trip planning
The places you save to My Trip are stored in your own browser, on your own device. They are not uploaded to us and they are not shared with anyone.
That means a cleared browser, a private window, or a different device will show an empty trip list. It also means you can wipe the whole thing yourself at any time — use the Remove option on each saved place, or clear site data in your browser settings.
Trip plans you generate are created for the session you are in and are not kept as a profile of you.
How we use it
To send the newsletter you asked for, to answer messages you send us, and to understand which destinations and guides are actually worth writing more of.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not rent your email list, and we do not send your details to advertisers for them to target you with.
Cookies and tracking
A handful of cookies are essential — they keep the site working and remember simple preferences.
Analytics cookies help us see which guides get read and which get skipped. They are aggregated and we treat them as editorial feedback, not as a way to identify you.
Affiliate and advertising cookies are set by our partners, not by us. When you click a hotel booking or shopping link, the partner (for example a booking site, a marketplace, or an affiliate network) may drop its own cookie so it can attribute the booking or purchase to us. Those cookies are governed by that partner's privacy policy, which we link from the page you are on.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site still works; you will just lose saved places and any personalisation.
Who we work with
Our revenue comes from hotel booking commissions, affiliate shopping links, tours and experiences referrals, and occasional sponsored placements — all disclosed on the page where they appear.
Those partners receive only the minimum they need to run the service: usually a page reference, a timestamp, and a commission value. They do not receive your name or email from us.
Your choices
Every newsletter carries an unsubscribe link that works immediately, and you can ask us to delete your email by writing to us at any time.
If you would like to see what we hold about you, correct it, or have it removed, email us and we will handle it — no form, no waiting period.
Where your region gives you extra rights — access, portability, objection, or limits on automated processing — we honour them regardless of where you live.
A note on cannabis information
We publish information about cannabis laws for adults who are planning travel. We do not ask you to tell us whether you use cannabis, and we do not want your health information.
Please do not send us medical details, prescriptions, or anything about a medical cannabis programme through the contact form. We are not a dispensary, a clinic, or a legal service, and we cannot help with those questions.
Age
Stylish & Stoned is written for adults 21 and over. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21.
If you believe a minor has sent us information, tell us and we will delete it.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, we update the date at the top of the page and, for significant changes, tell newsletter subscribers before the change takes effect.

Plain summary
We collect your email if you subscribe, whatever you write us, and anonymous usage data. We never sell it. Saved places stay in your browser. Email [email protected] to see, correct, or delete anything we hold.
