By browsing Stylish & Stoned you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.
You must be 21 or older to use it. Where the law where you live sets a different age, that law governs you.
Editorial content, not advice
Everything we publish — destination pages, guides, neighbourhood write-ups, place profiles, and the cannabis law summaries under Know Before You Go — is editorial journalism written for travellers.
It is not legal advice, medical advice, or a professional recommendation. We are not lawyers, doctors, or your travel agent, and nothing here creates a professional relationship.
Laws and venue policies change without notice and can differ by state, county, city, building, and carrier. A guide written last month can be out of date today. Verify current rules with official local sources before you act on anything you read here.
Your travel, your responsibility
You decide what you do on a trip. You are responsible for complying with the laws of every place you pass through, including federal law, transport carriers, and the policies of the venue you are standing in.
Cannabis remains illegal under United States federal law and is prohibited across state and national borders. Do not carry cannabis across a state line, an international border, or onto any aircraft or other federal property, in any amount, in any state.
If a destination's rules do not work for you, that is a real reason to choose a different destination. We will say that plainly in our guides.
Affiliate links and sponsorships
Some links on this site earn us a commission if you book or buy through them, at no additional cost to you. These include hotel booking links, product links, and tours or experiences.
Commission never decides what we recommend. Where a page contains affiliate links, we disclose it on that page — see our Affiliate Disclosure for the full picture.
Occasionally we publish sponsored content. Sponsored material is labelled as such, and a sponsor does not approve or edit our coverage of a destination.
Bookings and third-party services
We do not sell rooms, tickets, insurance, or transport. When you click a booking link, the contract you form is with that provider, under their terms and their cancellation policy.
We are not a party to that contract and cannot change, refund, or cancel it. If something goes wrong with a booking, contact the provider first, then tell us — we will point you at the right place.
Tips, corrections and submissions
We love a good tip. If you send us a suggestion, correction, photograph, or pitch, you grant us a non-exclusive right to publish and edit it with credit where we can.
Please do not send us anything unlawful, anything you do not have the right to share, or anything involving a person who has not agreed to be described.
We read everything and reply to most things. We cannot promise publication, and we do not pay for tips.
Our words and photographs
The text, layout, and original photography on Stylish & Stoned belong to us or are licensed to us. You are welcome to quote a short extract with a link back, and to share any page on social.
Please do not republish whole guides, scrape the site in bulk, or present our work as your own. Ask first for anything bigger — [email protected].
As-is, no warranties
The site is provided as is. We work hard on accuracy and we date what we publish, but we do not warrant that anything here is complete, current, or fit for a particular purpose.
To the fullest extent the law allows, Stylish & Stoned is not liable for losses arising from your use of the site or your reliance on its content, including a trip that went wrong or a rule that had changed.
Availability and changes
We can change, suspend, or remove any page, feature, or saved-place list at any time, including the trip planner, whose underlying models and limits are outside our control.
We may update these terms. Continued use after an update means the updated terms apply, and the date at the top of this page tells you when they last changed.
Questions and governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
