The short answer
Some links on Stylish & Stoned are affiliate links. If you book a hotel, buy a product, or reserve an experience through one of them, we may earn a commission. You pay the same price you would have paid anyway.
That commission is how the site stays free and how the photography gets paid for. It does not decide what we recommend.
What we earn from
There are four kinds of monetised link on this site.
- Hotel bookings — when you check rates through a booking partner from a place profile or a guide, that partner pays a commission on a completed stay.
- Shopping and packing lists — product links point at retailers and marketplaces, and we may earn a share of what you buy.
- Tours and experiences — tickets, transfers, and activities booked through a referral partner.
- Sponsored placements — occasional partnerships, always labelled as sponsored on the page itself.
Our partners
Our booking and shopping links route through hotel booking sites, affiliate networks, retail marketplaces, and creator-commerce platforms. The exact partners change as programs open and close, and the partner is always named in the link itself — for example a button that says Shop on a particular retailer.
When you click through, the partner may set its own cookie to record that the visit came from us. That is their tracking, under their privacy policy, not ours.
What a commission never buys
A place in our guides is not for sale. We list fewer places on purpose, and a recommendation earns its spot through repeat visits and genuine approval.
If a partner's product is not good enough, we do not link it. If a hotel we recommended goes downhill, we update or drop the entry — even though that costs us money. When we do take a sponsored placement, the page says so plainly.
Where a guide discusses a destination's laws, the affiliate links on that page have no influence on what the guide says about those laws.
Prices, availability and your obligations
Prices and availability shown on our pages are set by the retailer or booking site and change constantly. Nothing on Stylish & Stoned is a quote or a promise of availability.
Every booking or purchase you make through an affiliate link is subject to that company's own terms, cancellation policy, and returns process. Read them before you commit.
How we disclose
Any page containing affiliate links carries a disclosure line near the links themselves, not buried in a footer you have to hunt for. That is the standard we hold ourselves to under the FTC's endorsement guidelines.
If you ever find a monetised link on this site without a disclosure nearby, tell us and we will fix it the same day.
Cannabis is not monetised
We do not take commission, sponsorship, or payment of any kind from dispensaries, cannabis brands, or delivery services. Nothing on our dispensaries or Know Before You Go pages is paid placement.
Our cannabis coverage exists because it is genuinely useful to adults travelling somewhere with legal cannabis. If that ever changes, we will say so here first.
